President Obama speaks on disinformation’s threat to democracy

Former President Barack Obama delivers a keynote address at Stanford University about disinformation and challenges to democracy in the digital realm.

Obama’s speech called attention to the exponential impacts of disinformation and misinformation – including the rise of anti-vaccination sentiments and manipulation of the 2016 and 2020 elections.

The event was co-hosted by the Freeman Spogli Institute and Stanford Law School Cyber Policy Center and the Obama Foundation.
