Accelerating change has shocked and frightened people and businesses. Too much change in too short a time has overwhelmed our capacity to process, let alone adapt and thrive. We feel lost, powerless, insignificant, unmotivated, and even depressed. This is Future Shock, and we all suffer from it now, be it as businesses or individuals.

Nikola Danaylov is a Bestselling Author, Keynote Speaker, Technology Raconteur, and Futurist Philosopher. I have spent the last 20 years studying technological change, helping people adapt to Future Shock and major tech trends such as Artificial Intelligence, genetics, robotics, nanotech, synthetic biology, 3D printing, and cryptocurrencies.

He distills complex trends into compelling stories that empower you to craft the future and reinvent uncertainty into opportunity.

His book Conversations with the Future: 21 Visions for the 21st Century is an International Bestseller and my pioneering Singularity.FM podcast was the first in the world to discuss topics such as AI and transhumanism. That is why some have called me the “Larry King of the Singularity.”

After experiencing his keynote, you will not just transform how you feel and think about change and technology. You will feel energized, motivated, empowered, and inspired to act. You will find it easier to avoid getting lost and overwhelmed in finding the right direction for yourself and your business. You will gain confidence to confront the chaos caused by Future Shock, embrace change rather than fear it, and engineer your success. You will transcend the urgent and champion the important.

Nikola is available to provide incredible futurist keynotes at your event – in-person or virtually.

How to be a Futurist [Without Predicting the Future]

This keynote explores the intricate dynamics between predicting the future and influencing it.

Contrasting Newton’s deterministic universe with the principles of quantum mechanics, it highlights how the act of observation itself alters outcomes, thereby dismissing the notion of a fixed future. It posits that while the future and the present are interlinked and mutually influential—refuting simplistic cause-and-effect relationships—they embody a complex, chaotic system responsive to our predictions and actions. It argues that futurism is less about predicting specifics and more about understanding potential scenarios and navigating them proactively. Emphasizing the role of the futurist as a questioner rather than a soothsayer, it encourages and inspires the audience to craft their own personal and professional visions of the future and move beyond passive prediction to the active creation of their best future.

Conversations with the Future: From Future Shock to Future Ready

We’re all struggling to make sense of our changing world. There’s simply too much change in too short a time for us to absorb, process, and adapt. That’s Future Shock, and we’re all suffering from it, professionally, personally, or collectively.

This keynote will take you on a journey from Future Shock to Future Ready. It will help you reframe and make sense of the world. It will educate you on how stories tell us who we are, where we are coming from, where we are going, and why if you want to rewrite your future, you must rewrite your story.

Finally, it will help us see each crisis as an opportunity for reinvention and growth. It will conclude by providing various ancient and modern tools to build personal and professional resilience and long-term success in times of constant change.

Leaders Tell Unreasonable Stories: How to Create Change and Inspire Action

What is leadership? Why do great leaders always pick a fight? Why are stories the most powerful weapon in a leader’s arsenal? Why do impactful stories often feel uncomfortable, unreasonable, and politically incorrect?

This provocative keynote offers an unorthodox perspective on leadership, challenging aspiring leaders to think differently. It emphasizes that authentic leadership takes people to places they would not naturally tend to go, driven by stories that resonate deeply. It will explore why leaders launch movements, not just products, and why great stories catalyze meaningful change. Finally, it will advocate for new narratives that address the pressing issues of our time and challenge leaders to pick a fight and craft their own unique stories that inspire action and foster a better future for individuals, organizations, nations, and even our entire civilization.
